I fished the Devils Lake tourney last year and am willing to fish it again this year… haven’t signed up for it yet though. Quick question… why do you need a co when they draw names for pairings?
I’m still working on getting an ice-fishing group together… having a hard time pinning down a date though. Does the bite change for better or worse depending on late Jan. or early Feb.?

Mike, contestants entering with a counterpart are given priority.(pro with a co/angler, co/angler with a pro)

By signing up with a co-angler we get preference when it comes to getting into the Tournaments. I am signing up for all 4 and I would like to have co-anglers for each event.
I usually offer to let the Co prefish with me for any days they want to prior to the tournament.
Mike, the bite continues to hang on. As it gets later we generally look to deeper water and all the main lake structure.
Scott if you still need a co-angler for Erie you just found one. I am doing Devils and Erie this year as a co-angler, I am already hooked up with a boater for Devils.

can you tell me the dates for them tourneys, i looked at the packet that i got from the FLW membership and cant find it. I know $75 for the co, is that for both or just one event?? or do I have to pay more than that for the event? I know spliting gas and bait and stuff like that. but just wondering.

Shane, the packet you got from FLW is for the RCL League Tournaments. Scott is talking about the RCL Walleye Tour. The Co-Angler entry fee is $500. The dates are March 31-April 3. Illinois River-Spring Valley. IL. April 28-May 1st. Lake Erie. Port Clinton, OH. May 26-29 Devils Lake, ND. June 16-19. Lake Oahe. Pierre, SD.

I’m gona enter the Devils Lake, RCL as a co-angler. Do you know of anyone else who needs a partner to fish/prefish with. Can definatly supply the gear if needed. Otherwise i’m thinking of haulling my boat out there for pre-fishing.

I wasn’t sure on what was covered. I know that i will probably fish the eye guides to get a taste of tourney fishing, but i have a feeling that i will be one of the guys that likes it alot.
