This is a interesting attempt to try to get anglers to fish events without the help of “network friends” or outside sources. I would love to see the walleye tournaments take this approach as well for the future. I think it would definately separate a good portion of the field of anglers and bring new talent forward.
Enforcing it would be a task in itself, but if they (BASS)are willing to take big steps in disciplinary actions it could be worth the effort. We will see how this pans out. I think its a great idea however!

This rule is going to make true anglers out of the competion. I hope it works and doesn’t become a “don’t ask don’t tell” rule. As of late it seems the guys with the best networking skills are doing the best on the scales. I wonder how many of those guys are going to find themselves out of the big picture. Only time will tell.
