What all would you like to see on this forum? Is there an interest in the BassMaster tournament stuff? How about the ”non” local BFL Tournament press releases? Other tournament circuits? Thanks, Bill

Bill, I would be interested in seeing as many of the local results as possible- ie team supreme, bws, clubs, etc. I also enjoy the links to BASS and FLW. I think it is a good forum, it is hard to get people to post winning patterns, etc for obvious reasons. thanks.

I think everyone does a great job of letting others know of local tournaments, but I’d like to see a schedule of tourney’s as they came available…Love this site!!

    Hey Bill:
Being from the Fox Valley part of the state who fishes the river. I’d like to hear more about some of the local tourneys you guys have. I fish the BFL over on the river and hear from time to time that there is a local tournament being held somewhere. But would like to get more info on it. I think this site would be the ideal site for getting information out to the people who would like to fish some smaller club like tournaments. Great place to do some promoting for your tournament also. Would also like to see results of the local tournaments if possible. BassMasters is also good. I think you already do a great job. Even though I’m 3 hrs away from the river I use this site about 10 times a day..Excellent site…. Great idea also for you all to ask for suggestions on how to improve the site…Thanks Doug

I don’t much care what you put here as long as it is Bass related. This forum is so walleye orientened I hardly ever check it.

Maybe should spit into two forums Walleye Tournament and Bass Tournament.

For all the new comers to the site within the last year or so, we use to have a tourney event calendar that we could post all up coming events for any species related tourneys, dates, tourney entry fees, locations, and all contact info to get into these events, etc..) Is this something that you guys would be interested in seeing again? I do know that Bill does a hell of a job posting the results of events from all over, (Kudos Bill!)
But the event calendar became a very high maintenance project if I remember correctly. Maybe now that James has revamped the site, it would open the doors for something like this again? Not sure but worth investigating a bit.

Its good to see the bass guys standing up!!

With so many people from such a wide area it could be tough to get the info in an organized manner. If anyone can do it, it is James. If anyone has any ?’s on bass or walleye tournys in Mn, I usually have tons of info, just holler.

Way back when, I used to update the Event Calendar. The decision was made based on tourney schedules being listed on/at so many other places, to discontinue it here, very high maintenance. We decided to have a tournament forum to list the finishes of tournaments as found, seen or notified and to chat about the various tourneys going on. This subject is probably worth looking at again and I’m sure James will Chime in when reading this.
Again, Bill you do a heck of a job, Please keep it up!

I would like to see some FLW and BASS open tournaments posted on this site, including time and date so if any of us bass guys would like to try to make a living at it we know where to go.

First of all I would like to say that this forum has the most complete tournament listings and results/pictures that I have seen. Good job guys. I think I can speak for all of us when I say we really apprreciate it.

The only change I would like to see is MY PICTURE IN THE WINNERS CIRCLE MORE OFTEN!! LOL

Hey Guys, Thanks for the imput and please keep it coming. I have more access to walleye tournament info than bass info. Alot of the bass info I get is about tournaments in different parts of the country. I know more walleye fisherman personally than I do bass fisherman . So they tend to post local walleye tourney stuff. What I need is for the bass fisherman to post upcoming tourney stuff and results on the forum too. This forum can very easy see ALOT more bass stuff on it if I can get some bass guys to post info here too. I would love to see that happen. Bass are great fish to catch and I know there is a big bass following in this area. And even though I am a walleye guy most of the time, I love catching small mouth bass. Man, the excitement in the fight of a smallie on the line is great! I think I get more excited about catching a bass than I do about catching a walleye unless its a big eye or an eye in a tourney. The old tournament listing deal we use to have was with the info on it being sent in by tournament directors or tournament fisherman providing the info to the website. Nobody went looking for info around the area, state, midwest, etc to post on it on the site. I’ve had to research different tourneys and find contacts in order to get info and get on some press release lists so I can get this info. This winter I will try get more contacts with other tournament circuits so that they might provide me with some info about the tourneys and results for you guys. We are not like walleye central or the pwt or rcl and pay people to follow the tournaments with a van, set of computers, and the ability to send info to a server and have a leaderboard. And just for the record- each only follows their own tournament circuit and we try to have info on alot of different tourneys. I am what you see and what you see is all there is. Thats why I would really like everyone to help me help you. Anytime you see tourney info and or results please feel free to post it. It takes all of us to make this forum a good tournament forum and the more everyone will kick in the better it will be for everyone. For example, I just got a pm from BlueFleck who said he would post info on tourneys around LaCrosse and results too. Are there others who can do that for their area that they live in? This is what we need to cover alot of local areas. When I first started doing this a couple years ago I posted just about everything I could find. This year I tried to keep it to local stuff, big name toutnaments where there is alot of interest, and big name circuit info and press releases and from the feedback I get I feel it has been more interesting to everyone than just alot of far away tournaments that alot of people don’t know or care about. This forum is now one, it use to be seperated by lakes and rivers so I was doing both sites [FTR and FTL]. Now I post all on one site so everyone gets alot of info and its not seperated so you don’t have to go back and forth to different sites. Just look at the title of the thread and see which ones you want to read. The Midwest is blessed with many many different tournaments and for different species of fish so if we can get alot of guys to post tournament schedules [or e-mail them to me] and do the same with the results we can all have alot more tourney info on this forum. As for you tournament directors, a very good way to get FREE advertising for your tournaments and get the word out and attract more contestants, is just post your tournament schedule on this forum and tournament results too as everytime you post you are advertising your tournament circuit. Free advertising of your circuit, how can you beat that. Is there an interest in seeing FLW and BFL info even if it tournaments in different parts of the country? I know BASS is huge, thats different. But how much following is there in the FLW and BFL tournaments that are not around here? If there is I can provide some of that info. If your not interested then I’ll look for other things/info to post. Maybe I can talk James into providing a small forum right under the Tournament forum where ”just schedules” are posted there as a post that anyone can do so that the schules don’t get burried in all of the other post/threads and are hard to find. I feel this would probably be the easiest to do with anyone able to post the schedule and the only maintenance there would be in that kind of tournament schedule forum would be to just zap [wipe out] everything at the end of the year to make room to start the next years schedules. What do you think James? [hint hint] I also know there are Musky nuts out there who fish the tournaments and would love to see that info posted on here too. And theres Crappie tournaments and ice fishing tournaments and there are alot of fishing clubs that have tournaments too. Want to attract people to your fishing club and get more people fishing your club tourneys? List the club, info and tourneys on this tournament forum for FREE. The facts are that this website has become the fastest growing site around as its become huge covering many different areas in just a short time. The growth is fantastic. Just looking at the number of viewers and hits on any given day will blow your mind. Its unreal. And your club, circuit, tournaments and results can be listed on here for free. We tend to look at the message board and think only of the area we live in, but other people from different states look at this stuff too. I’ve gotten pms and e-mails from people from different states saying they are planning a trip up this way and are looking for info on where to fish, stay, etc. These people are on this site too just like you and I. Have you checked out the lakes part of this site to see how many areas are covered? And to think of how many lakes there are in each one of those areas. And it equals alot of tourneys and info that people can post here for free. The amount of info possible is unlimited and we all can make it happen. Thanks in advance for anymore replies that are posted and thanks in advance for any info post you make. Sorry I got so long winded, just want to help give you guys the forum/info your want to have. Thanks, Bill
