    I had the pleasure of fishing this tournament. For those that have never heard about it……it is the best tournament around. The lake has over 1600 islands,big smallies,huge pike and easy to catch big walleyes. Hardly any other boats even on the weekends.

    It took almost a 4pound average over three days to win. We thought we did good with over a three pound average but we barely cashed a check. One difference up there is that in this tournament trolling is legal. I know at least one of the “legends” up there does not even have a trolling motor on his boat.

    Also….all the locals treat the tourney guys very well. Even the hot chicks show up at night to maybe get lucky with a tourney guy!

    How much better can it get?

    Godd job Steve. The weights are remarkable. I would love to fish up there once, if nothing else just help a guy prefish. 4lb average smallies, I’m in!!
