    GOLLIHER WINS WAL-MART RCL WALLEYE LEAGUE SUPER TOURNAMENT ON LAKE WINNEBAGO

    OSHKOSH, Wis. (July 14, 2003) Boater Greg Golliher of Oshkosh claimed $4,433 as winner of the two-day Wal-Mart RCL Walleye League Super Tournament held this weekend on Lake Winnebago. Golliher caught 10 walleyes over two days that weighed 31 pounds, 12 ounces to claim his first RCL League victory at the Wisconsin Division event.
    Golliher used jigs and crawlers in the rocks on the north end of Lake Winnebago to catch his tournament-winning walleyes. He was fishing 7 to 14 feet of water and was constantly on the move. He caught five walleyes that weighed 15 pounds, 2 ounces Saturday to place third. He followed that up Sunday with another five walleyes that weighed 16 pounds, 10 ounces to win the tournament by a 9-ounce margin.
    Rounding out the top five boaters were Josh Wiesner of Campbellsport (10 walleyes, 31 pounds, 3 ounces, $2,533); Clarence Bohn of Fond du Lac (10 walleyes, 26 pounds, 5 ounces, $1,900 plus $400 bonus); Troy Saunders of Menasha (10 walleyes, 26 pounds, 2 ounces, $1,583); and Dean Stoflet of Wisconsin Rapids (10 walleyes, 25 pounds, 10 ounces, $1,267 plus $250 bonus).
    Allen West of Iola won the Co-angler Division and $1,900 plus a $375 bonus thanks two a two-day catch of 10 walleyes weighing 31 pounds, 4 ounces. West led the Co-angler Division both days, catching five walleyes Saturday that weighed 18 pounds and following that up Sunday with another five walleyes that weighed 13 pounds, 4 ounces. He caught his walleyes fishing break points in 8 to 15 feet of water on Storm ThunderSticks.
    Rounding out the top five co-anglers are Matt Bobber of Appleton (10 walleyes, 28 pounds, $1,267); Jon Walber of Kiel (10 walleyes, 27 pounds, 11 ounces, $950 plus $200 bonus); James Blomberg of Washington, Mo. (10 walleyes, 26 pounds, 15 ounces, $792 plus $150 bonus); and John Mans of Menominee, Mich. (10 walleyes, 25 pounds, 6 ounces, $633 plus $125 bonus).
    Bonuses are awarded to boaters who are the registered owner of a Ranger, Crestliner or Lund boat and fish out of that boat during the tournament. Co-anglers earn bonuses if they are a registered owner of a Ranger, Crestliner or Lund.
    Boaters and co-anglers who finish in the top 25 in final points standings in each RCL Walleye League division will advance to the $88,000 RCL League Finals Sept. 6-7 on Lake Okoboji in Spirit Lake, Iowa. The winning boater at the finals will receive an Evinrude-or Yamaha-powered Ranger, Crestliner or Lund boat. Every angler who receives weight credit in a tournament earns points, with 200 points awarded to the winner, 199 points for second, and so on, except for Super Tournaments, which award 300 points to the winner, 298 to second, and so on.
    Bohn ranks first in 2003 Wisconsin Division points standings with 686 for the season, and West earned No. 1 co-angler status with 664 points for the year.
