Yes Jim you did. Let me tell you a little story Jim shared with me. Jim came up and talked to me after the tourney and told me his goal in fishing was to be able to beat Nate Cadwell in a tournament. Well Jim has been unemployed the past couple months and has spent about 6 days a week fishing and as a result of time spent on the water and learning alot he had no problem kicking our beeps. He took 2nd. and Nate, who drew me for a partner, and I got 3rd. Way to go Jim, proud of ya man. He went for agressive fish and we went for finessing what was hopefully big ones and only got one big one and some smaller ones to go with it. Alot of people have asked me over the years how can so and so always catch alot of fish or do good in tournaments. My answer is: time on the water. Along with that of course is fishing info from this site, magazines, fishing tapes, seminars, etc. Knowledge and time on the water is what puts fish in the boat. Want to know how James and Dustin catch alot more big fish than I do? Simple, time on the water and fishing the prime times, prime big fish spots, and using big fish techniques. Congrats to all who fished. Some spots had active fish and some spots had fish who just mouthed the bait so they were hard to hook and keep hooked. It was fun and good to see so many fish caught. Thanks, Bill

To answer to the pm’s and questions I was asked about what the bigger fish came on: it was caught using a 3-way with a hook and leech. The leeches I used are the livliest leeches I’ve ever seen. I had them in a container called a Worm & Leech Lodge stored in a cooler with ice all week and yet they were very lively leeches come tourney time on Sat. Both the Leech Lodge and Livliest Leeches can be found at Hooked On Fishing Bait And Tackle in Rochester,-Thanks Mike. Thanks, Bill
