PRICE AND BIBLER WIN OPENING WWA MICHIGAN TEAM CHALLENGE
W.J. Price and Dale Bibler brought in an impressive 39.37-pound basket of
walleyes to win the opening tournament in the World Walleye Association
Michigan Team Challenge division held on the Detroit River.
Under typical spring weather conditions, freezing temperatures in the
morning giving way to 55 degrees and sunny skies by afternoon, Price and
Bibler vertical jigged the well-known Trenton Channel where many of the
other top teams were also fishing. Price and Bibler not only caught the most
weight for the tournament but also the big fish of the tournament weighing
11.4 pounds.
Placing second for the event was the team of Ernie Plant and Don Curler with
a weight of 23.55-pounds.
Third place was Dave Summit and Eric Forseth with a weight of 22.93-pounds.
