Here are the wining weights for the 2006 IDA Bass Classic held July 16, 2006 out of Hastings, MN.

Our top Team, Haney & Miller, walked away with a $1,000 PAYDAY for their winning weight of 16.54 on 5 bass. They also took home an additional $300 for their 5.34 Lb. smallmouth bringing their total winnings at the 2006 IDA BAss Classic to $1,300.00…!

    TEAM WEIGHTS

    #1 – Haney and Miller 16.54 lbs. – 5.34 Lb. Big Bass

    #2 – Pinky and Evans 11.44 lbs. – 2.54 Lb. Big Bass

    #3 – Marzen and Lythjohayn 8.89 lbs.

This year the BIG Bass pool payed down an additional 2 places for a total of 3 spots thanks to a generous cash donation made by Gary Wellman from Wellman Mortgage. If you’re looking to refinance an existing property or buy a new property, please give Gary Wellman a chance to earn your business.

    Big Bass Weights

We do have a 1 minute video clip with the winners after the weighin talking in general terms where and how they caught their winning bag.

2006 IDA Classic Winners Talk Technique After the Weighin

All in all this tournament was a huge success and I’d like to congratulate all those that participated on a great job battling through the tough conditions with the rain, wind, waves, and HEAT that pushed well into the 90’s on tournament day

Fishing was tough for many of the teams; everyone caught lots of fish but putting fish in the boat that met the minimum length requirement was the real challenge. Before the tournament I predicted that if a team could find a way to put a measley 10# in the boat you would cash a check with the low water and slow flow making the conditions incredbly challenging. That said, I would have never guessed a team would hit the 16# mark. That is what you call running away with the money!

I just tried the clip… it works for me. It is a LARGE download at 18Mb. If you’re on dialup or a slower broadband connection you’ll need to open that link and be prepared to wait awhile.

My connection tested out at 1.6Mbps download speed and it took me about 15 seconds to re-download the file and get it to play.
