Weekend Tourney

Anyone else got a tourny this weekend? I a got a tourney this weekend in the Baxter area and am not looking forward to the heat the are talking about.
With temps like we are being told, what are you go to baits?
What’s your strategy?
I am planning on hitting some shallow areas early (using small cranks, topwater and weightless plastics) and then move out to deeper water once the heat gets going (tubes, jigs, drops shots and some deep diving cranks).
There is not slop on this lake so tha is out of the question.

Weed edges with jigs or texas rigged worms! I had a bass league on Tues night and those were the baits for the winning weight!!!

I have one Saturday. Take lots of water!! I hope to catch my limit right away in the morning on the docks and pads. I don’t think we will get anything after ten o’clock. This lake has no deep water. Good luck

Pads, what pads? Have you forgotten already about the pads Blue perch and myself are in the same bass club. We did a little scouting last weekend and now I am more confused than I was before I went there I am guessing they are going to be shallow early and then move deeper. But the deeper water is where all the pleasure boats run all day
