3 Rivers Spring Fling Results??

A 31+ lb. bag of smallies won. That bag included 3 5lb’ers.

Champman took 3rd w/a 27lb. sack of greenies and had big bass with a 5.7lb Hog.

I was hoping to find out what kind of style/bait was working? Like I said, I could only muster 2 and that was on a 3/4 oz. Spinner bait with big gold colorado blade and med. nickel willow (in between shaking off the pike). I just want to try and better myself.

The winning bag was caught using jerkbaits.

I caught dozens of fish using a rattle trap, including a 4+lb largie.. I know others in the top 5 were throwing them as well. My partner was mixing things up throwing a 10″ black worm, and that was working well too.

Rat-l-traps have been real hot lately. thanks slop for turning me on to them right now but i really got to say, spinnerbaits haven’t been the ticket for me so far. Caught some decent ones a few nights ago, one around 3 lbs, but no numbers….
