Greetings all. I’ve been reading the Upper Mississippi proposed Refuge Conservation plan Alternative E, with great interest. It is a vast improvement over the previously proposed plans. I really feel like they listened to the feedback from anglers like ourselves. They have a couple of meetings up-coming in Minnesota and more in other states. Here are the Winona and Wabasha dates. I hope to attend at least one of these and encourage others to turn out.

Winona, Minn. St. Mary’s University, Toner Student Center, Hall of Fame Room, 700 Terrace Heights

    January 24
Wabasha, Minn. Wabasha-Kellogg High School, 2133 E. Hiawatha

ill b there in wabasha voting AGAINST alt e. if your not from the area, you dont have any business voting for something that you have no idea how it will affect the locals

This does not only affect the LOCALS. This affects the whole state and everybody who uses the river whether it is 2 times a year or 130 days a year. All voices need to be heard, not just those who live right on the river.

What is it about “E” that you don’t like? Are you for some other Alternative? Which one? What is it that your opposed to? the no-wake zones, the trolling motor only areas? Or are you for no change at all?

They are trying to take more away like they did how many years ago with the other refuges. The thing is they say it is short lived, Bull S#*t! They “listened” my rear end. They made a bunch of stuff up that they knew would never last just to “sweet’n” the deal on the stuff they really wanted. Like making more refuges. We have enough of them already, besides the birds use the fields as much as they do the refuge so why take away more of our area to hunt and fish? VOTE ALT. A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
