I’m not sure how many of you have joined the Skeeter BassFan Army but if you fish any of their affiliated organizations which include, BASS Federation, Team Supreme, American Bass Angler, and many others you might want to take a look at it. They have several nice contengency programs were you can win product and money if you win a tournament or catch a big bass in an event.

While Skeeter is the title sponsor you don’t have to own one to participate. On top of the programs I mentioned members are also able to qualify for the Skeeter Weekend Warrior Championship which brings together the top finishers in the different organization to crown an overall champion of the weekend cirucits.

If you’d like to see the specifics here is their website. http://www.bassfanarmy.com/

I wanted to mention all of this because I think it will bring value to many of you by possibly increasing your winnings. I joined out of curiousity but found myself taking advanatge of a couple programs after a win earlier this year. Which more than made up for the membership fee.

I also found out yesterday I’ve qualified for the Weekend Warrior Championship this year through the ABA. This is a no-entry fee tournament with significant prizes. This event takes place August 6-9 on Eagle Mountain Lake ouside Ft Worth, TX.

While I admit to being really out of my element fishing a rocky lake with little vegiation there is no reason I can’t win. I’ll do my best and bring back a check and a story to tell I’m sure.

Well I held my own against some of the best amateur anglers in the country but only finished middle of the pack. Here are the results and I’ll follow up with my story tomorrow. I think this will air on OLN September 24th if you are interested.
