The last 2 days I’ve spent chasing crappies on Fish and Carls Lake. Chasing, no finding. Fish Lake was very slow with all the fish staging in about 16-18 ft, staging not biting. Which brings me to Carls Lake. I have NEVER seen the lake in as terrible condition as I did today. The milfoil has all but taken over, making jigging next to impossible.
All in all, fishing with my boy and staying afloat will keep the smiles on, but we’da had an easier time catching a cold in hell.

    Not salty at all…

Try Spring. I’ve heard there’s a pretty good bite going on out there. And with this warm weather, you should be able to catch a few.

I got a limit of crappies on friday night on fish lake, that in included a bonafide 14 incher. I didn’t have much till about 45 minutes before dark then caught about 15 in as many casts. I was going to Spring but that was a cluster with people parking in the grass because it was so full.
