I know that i can be matched up at the landing but was wondering if there was someone out there that was looking to fish most if not all of the ABA tourneys in MN this year and was in need of an inexperienced bass partner. I am joining to learn how to catch more of these fish and it looks like fun. shoot me a PM and let me know.

    thanks

Shane, I think you’ll like the ABA but from your post I’m concerned you might not understand how the ABA works. Everyone is paired at the ramp and no one can pick their partner. The ABA is not a team trail and every angler must stand on their own merits.

With that said if you are looking to learn it is one of the best ways as you will alway be paired with different people and learn from so many different view points and styles. There is a great group of people fishing ABA in MN and a good deal of them will be travelling to Iowa to fish my district before things open in MN. If you want you could probably easily hitch a ride if you like to as well.

Anyway I know I didn’t probably give you the answer you were looking for but you could probably easily find a partner to travel with and pre-fish with for the ABA you just won’t normally be paired in tournaments. That’s up to the draw. If you don’t have luck here post on the ABA site as well or call the local directors maybe they can send an email to their memebers.

If I can do anything please call, email or IM.

    hey Ken,

I guess I forgot to add the pre fishing part, I am aware of the draw on the ramp and I am looking forward to learning and to fish with a whole lot of different people. I am just looking for some extra pointers probably before season starts. I haven’t fished any bass tourneys before.

No problem I hope you do well. If you want to come down river you can share my boat anytime I’m out.
