Get the Net Ready; Walleyes
Jump Out of TV Screens
Brainerd, Minnesota…..Get ready for close-up and personal walleye
action as fans will ride the towering waves with the In-Fisherman
Professional Walleye Trail (PWT) anglers. Viewers will need their nets
ready as they fish alongside these intense competitors — the best in the
business.
Starting Sunday, July 7, and running every Sunday through September
on TNN, the PWT shows have been expanded to include tournament coverage,
amateur angles, pro profiles, hot topics, secret tactics, finesse
presentations, electronics use, mapping, lots of fish catching and winners.
More than $1,600,000 will be paid out over the next 13 weeks. Each show
will detail what walleye anglers want to know.
These noon (central time) shows bring fishing to life through the lenses of
award-winning In-Fisherman television crews. The walleye anglers who have
been most responsible for marine and tackle innovations now deliver the
modern era of walleye fishing to the television screen.
The 2002 tournament schedule begins with record-breaking monster
walleye action on Lake Erie, and continues through the upper midwestern
states of Michigan, Wisconsin, South Dakota and North Dakota.
The PWT is a Pro-Am format, where amateurs who want to learn the
maximum amount about walleyes sign-up and fish with the pros. PWT pro
anglers provide all gear, bait and the boat. Amateurs enter and fish three
days with three different pro anglers, and the top 40 win prizes, including
a Mercury-powered Lund boat on an Eagle trailer for first prize. For info
ons next year’s schedule, call PWT headquarters at 218-829-0620, or visit
