Thad announce at the Cedar Rapids Bassmaster meeting he has made the tour! What a year he has had. First he wins Federation Championship then finished 23 in the Classic against the best of the best then 2nd at the Busch Shootout and not his dream is complete and he is a pro. Now he sets new goal to finish 15th in points.
Well Thad, regardless how things work out, my hat’s off to you. You’re living the dream.
Wow! What an honor. Just think of the thousands of guys who would trade places with him.

I watched the Bush Shootout. I was pulling for him just because he was federation guy, and somewhat of a local.
Format of the shootout was kind of strange. It was nice Thad got 2nd but it paid the same as last place. I guess it did help show he could consistantly compete against those guys.
I agree, the format was definitely unique. The final looked like they were fishing on a stock dam back home. Of course, that was probably a big lake for an Iowan. 
I think the lake was only 20-30 acres for the final.
