I plan on attending it I hope. It depends on some family functions. I’m 80% sure I’ll be there.

    Well,

My partner bailed on the MSBC, so i’m available to fish this if anyone needs a partner. I don’t know the pools all that well, but I’ll try to “git er done” just the same!!

The only way that this tournament will be canceled is if there is a major flood or a tornado! See you guys on Sunday.

Blast off will be a 7am with a short rules meeting at 6:45am, tournament hours will be from 7am to 3:30pm. If you are going to register the day of the tournament we ask that you pay your entry fee with cash. Any questions feel free to give me a shout here or on the phone.
    See ya on Sunday!

I won’t be coming…several of your rules were overlooked or you have changed them so we will not be competing.

I am curious what the problem was, if you don’t mind me asking?

The ONLY way these tourneys will continue to get better is to hear what can be improved on or what people feel is wrong. There’s been a lot of hard work behind the scenes, and we need to know what steps can be taken to resolve any issues for future tourneys.

The only issue I would have is having an 8 fish limit instead of a 6 fish limit in August, though with the weather the last few days, that may not be a concern!

I will echo what others have said, if you don’t say what is a problem, it isn’t likely to get addressed.

Not “”””ing on anybodies parade…just missed the insurance and limit requirement. My personal insurance that covers me when not guiding has a liability limit less than 300K. Ended up not mattering in my case anyway.. ended up booked for guide trips both SAT and SUN. Also it is a team tourney and even though I believe you can fish alone?? the eight fish limit makes it kind of dumb for me to fish alone. I think and hope both the walleye and bass tourneys go. Things can change but right now we are waiting for both series Eyes and Bass schedules to come out for next year so we can plan for them first. With one or both of them and Walleye searchers next year we should be busy enough. Sorry I got you all heated up JH.
Really had nothing to do with or was it a bad reflection on the series … I was just amazed or should I say embarrassed I missed the insurance and 8 fish limit.

    Hi Lawrence!
Just for the record I never did take your post as “”””ing on anybodies parade…” If any of you know Lawrence at all you know he would not do that. As most of you know this is the first year for the IDA Bass Tour and it was thrown together at the last minute. We did this because after we announced the IDA Walleye Tour allot of you requested a Bass Tour as well and as a result the IDA BASS TOUR was born, but it was very difficult to find dates that did not conflict with other tournaments. You can rest assured that next years schedule will come out in plenty of time so you guys can fit the IDA BASS TOUR into your schedules. As for how many teams are fishing I can honestly not answer that question. We have only a handful of teams pre registered but I have had several guys ask if they can register the day of the tourney (that is perfectly fine) and I have been told that there are allot of guys pre fishing.
Lawrence, you mentioned “Walleye searchers next year” are you talking about the LPO or fishing the club tournaments? If you are talking about the club tournaments hopefully we will get paired up for one of them.

It’s not the first time I have gotten in trouble for as J Hall just said in a PM “not putting a filter between my brain and the computer”. I have been pretty blunt lately and I didn’t explain myself so I’m sure he assumed it was one of those recent times when somebody should have scolded me. But after 50 years of being politically incorrect it can be hard to change…

The LPO is almost always on the same weekend as the Stoddard Bergin Charity tourney 500 plus competitors and pretty much bragging rights for the whole year among the 30 or so of us that fish around each other all the time. I got pounded the last two years, but oh well.

But I was talking about the club… wife prefers local events, and clubs and thought it would be neat to fish with others,(Bill well okay even BILL). Just teasing BUD . Plus all of you guys have treated me great whenever I’m around. Thanks for the compliment about fishing with me, but with little time to pre-fish there Nancy and I will just be fishing for fun. We would have fished several this year, but Tuna started a local club,(actually a weekly Saturday show up league) , that kind of fizzled so we never got around to it.
