Tournament Director Jon J. has the results but he has tear down time plus farther to drive to get home than I do. 1st. place team was approx. 16.68 lbs. and 2nd place team was 13.38 lb. and 3rd place team was 13.12 lbs. I think. Very good tournament with a tough bite out there today. Yesterdays 50 mph winds changed things for alot of people and colder and windy temps today too.

    Thanks, Bill

Bill, Thank you very much for posting the above pix. I appreciate the coverage. I certainly had my hands full there!!

I just got home after a day that started at 3:30am for me. I’m beat. I go to work tomorrow and then head to Spring Valley on Tuesday for the MWC tournament next weekend. I’m scrambling to get everything packed and ready to go.

We had a total of 39 teams and paid down 6 places. The Big fish pot was $270 and was won by team Lee Nesbitt and Aaron Mathees. The Big Fish weighed 9.88 pounds! That’s a hiccup away from a legit 10 pounder. A great fish that was released in great shape! Good job guys.

Here are the money placing teams.

1st place – Craig Kronbeck and Bill Ahlbrecht. 5 fish for 16.36 pounds. $1,000

2nd place – Nate Cadwell and Todd Peterson. 5 fish for 13.38 pounds. $650

3rd place – Jon Rousu and Garrett Rousu. 5 fish for 13.12 pounds. $550

4th place – Lee Nesbitt and Aaron Mathees 2 fish for 12.36 pounds. $420 **Big Fish $270

5th place – Heath Fremstad and Chad Larson. 5 fish for 12.20 pounds. $300

6th place – Brett King and Doug Gardner. 5 fish for 12.14 pounds. $200

Congrats to all of the above anglers. Hats off to putting something together some nice baskets during a tuff bite for most. I apologize if I miss-spelled any names above.

OK, I know the next question. How did James Holst and Dustin Stewart do? I’m not exactly sure where they placed, but here are thier weights.

5 fish for 10.18 pounds. Not bad, just out of the money as they say. Better luck next time guys!

    I’m going to bed!

Hi Nate, Thanks for the compliments. If it were not for the help of a LOT of IDA helpers, WE could not have pulled this off. We will get better at each event. I hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as I did. I got to meet a bunch of great folks today.

Ok, now I’m off to bed!

Caught a lot of fish, had a 3 man limit to be exact, only problem was we couldn’t get away from those 16″ to 17″ walleye and hook in to 1 or 2 of those bigger female walleye or saugers. All in all it was a fun day

Congrats to the guys in the money. Job well done on getting some of those bigger fish to go on a tough day for most

I’d like to put a blue ribbon on everyone’s efforts as well. This was my first taste of competative fishing and while some of it is still sinking in, I can see why a lot of people enjoy tournaments! Everything was VERY smooth………… and that comes from a guy who was doing the infamous rookie, “Now what?”. I was glad to have the people involved that we did. I left there today a distant 24th, but a smile on my face and eager anticipation of the June 12th event!

I’d like to add a quick thanks to Tom S for partnering up with me for this series of events! He’s even more responsible for the fun I had and can’t wait to get out there with him again!

Oh yeah…………….. what was the winning presentation/game plan out there Sunday? Our best results came on 3-ways against the current.

All the people involved in this tourney deserve a hardy pat on the back. Everything went great.

It was also nice to meet some of the people off the site. Some of us stood around and BSed till late into the evening.

    Thanks guys.
