Lookin for some bass tournaments around twincities

    I no there are alot of tournaments on lake minnetonka and the surrounding areas and that is where im from, but idk how to even begin getting into something like that. i have been looking to fish tournaments for a while, but the ones i have found cost an arm and a leg to join.

    it would be awesome if i could get into a series, looking for some sponsorship opportunities, stuff like that.

    anybody have any ideas for me..
    anything would help. thanks!

    May be a little late to get into some of the weekday evening one’s but I’d check out the following 2:

    If you are looking for a weekend series I’d check out the Fishers of Men West – http://www.mnfomwest – Really well run fun tourney.

    There are also a fair amount of Bass clubs around the metro area – Sportsmans, Gopher, hooksetters. Just to name a few – Good luck in your search !!!

    the only other problem is that i am looking for a teammate all my pals arent really as big into bass fishing, or fishing at all for that matter, so it makes it harder to get people into it. i have takin a couple of my friends fishing with me, and they all have had a blast, but not in a compeditive nature at all.. so, im hoping to get fishing soon…… compeditively! thanks for all the sights..

    o one more question,, how do you go about getting into clubs, or even maybe someone elses team for fishing, lets say for the welser tourney??

    I send you a private message on the Walser Bass Tour however if that doesnt suit you or you dont have your own boat, the MN BASS Federation is a great place to start too.

    I personally know the West director and he’s in a good club with a good group of guys – West Metro Bassmasters. They will pair you up with a boater for each tourney.

    THanks so much man. i filled out the club form just now, so we will see what he says, i said i got a good reference from the IDO fishing website to contact them. so hopefully that will help.
