With the shorter days I’ve been tossing around the idea of holding a night time walleye tourney out of Everts in the middle to late February. Just wanted to see if there would be any interest.

I’m not to the point of having all the details worked out but here’s a few.

    100% payout
Saturday night from 5pm to 10pm
Warrior Boats will be a sponsor.

Do you see any liability issues running a tourny at night in near freezing water?

I’m not thinking to many good things would come of it if someone had motor trouble or God forbids falls over board.

I guess it makes sense now why you didnt come for dinner Saturday night. You should have, we grilled up some steaks from a couple 40 plus pound Flatheads I cleaned. Stay tuned more to come…….

I would definitely consider participating. The tough part would be in the scheduling. Most February night time excursions are planned last minute, hey it’s going to be nice this weekend, kind of trips.

Thanks Eric and Walleye 16, between emails, private messages and here, if the weather is good there’s going to be a better turnout then the Turkey Combo!

Hey BK, I know it’s an Everts event but you should call it The BK Classic

Just got the nod. It shall now be known as “The BK Classic”!

As it sits right now, insurance is being checked on but that’s a done deal one way or another.

We know there will be a few that drop out because of dates or temperature, but it’s looking like we’ll need a permit.

Now to work on dates… which we might not have narrowed down until January and the other details.

Please keep posting if interested. Knowing the approximate number of interested boaters is very helpful!

    Question:

We’ve had a few folks ask for an “all night” tourney as opposed to a 5pm to 10 pm
    or
    6pm to 11 pm tourney.

What say you folks that are interested in fishing this?

Depends on the date but walleye16 and I would fish it but were pretty limited in feb. Some of us head south for a week to get out of the cold!!

I think I would be able to make it, if it isn’t snowing. Damn plowing.

Where does this idea stand? Still in the works? I’d vote for 5-10 or 6-11 vs. all night.
