    For Ontario:

    1) white tube
    2) white tube
    3) Cisco on a tip up
    4) white tube
    5) dead sucker on a tip up
    6) slender spoon
    7) white tube
    8) off white tube
    9) pearl tube
    10) white tube

    For Lake Superior (deep water)
1-10) white jig of your choice tipped with meat.

In order of how common the occurrence is, from my experience fishing Ontario lakers, there are days where:

    1) a white tube outfishes all other offerings.

    2) dead bait under a tip up/deadstick/set line or whatever will either be equal to, or outfish a white plastic tube

    3) other baits (spoons, airplanes, jigs, whatnot) will fish equally compared to a white plastic tube or tip up

    4) flashy baits like spoons and raps will outfish a white plastic tube(personally I have not seen it happen very often at all(once or twice in the last 25 yrs, maybe), but I am sure it happens more often than that.

Personally, I see the above scenarios play out in a 70, 15, 10, and 5% breakdown in frequency.

My experience is all in Canada. Tubes, tubes, and tubes. Pearl with a blue or silver flake for everyone in the group. A dead Cisco will catch some too but we rarely stay put long enough to justify setting one up. Last year I tried white tubes, airplane jigs, and vibratos with no results.
