Anyone been out on Tonka targeting bass? I know the lake was fishing pretty good a few weeks ago, but is it still fishing good? Wondering if it’s worth the hour drive.

Look up Matt Johnson outdoors on Facebook, he fishes there 3 times a week guiding, and puts a video report out once a week or so on what is going on.

I know on the Denny’s Thursday night tourney last Thursday it took 4 bass for 18+ to win. There was 2 people who brought in 4 bass for over 18 Lbs. In all of the years than Denny has been doing the Wed. or Thus. nighters they have never has 18lb prior and then it happens twice on the same night. I’d say the lake is still fishing good.

I have to get out there. I’ve got some good lakes near me that aren’t nearly as crowded that can produce that quality of bass. Probably not 4 for 18 but 5 lbers. I still want to try my luck on Tonka though….just not on a weekend.
