Rest in peace Tommy. Got to share a boat with him years ago at one of the Red Wing FLW tours. Fun day on the water.

Tommy was one strong person. Broken back and partially paralyzed after falling from a tree stand, then going head to head with brain cancer. His faith carried him a long, long ways. In spite of adversity he was always up-beat and positive. And he loved to fish….all out of doors activities really.

God’s speed Tommy and condolences to your family and your fishing family. He is already missed.

Met Mr. Skarlis at the Quad Cities Sport Show several years ago. He gave a good seminar and was very interactive with the audience. He came across as a very humble man that enjoyed the sport of fishing as much as we all do. Thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Don’t know him or have ever heard him speak, but from what I am seeing online, we lost a truly good human, which is rare these days.

    Rest in peace.

Tommy asked me on a few occasions to make him custom colors in a few common plastics he liked to use for walleyes and was always gracious when he received them. I’d often deliver them in person if he had a seminar near by. He really was just a super guy in private and in the public’s eye. I’ll miss him.

    You missed out Pug.

Not only did he fish walleyes, but crappies and cats.

One of the only pro tourney fishermen that didn’t have an ego that preceded them.

The fishing world lost a real ambassador to the sport. He’s going to be missed by many.
