The frost is coming with winter behind it, and I’m nowhere near ready for the cold. It looks like this round of frost will miss us by a few degrees here along Pool 4.

I’ve got a tritoon in the water yet, about 2.5 acres of lawn to get aerated and overseeded, a culvert to dig out and replace with something bigger, and the Mrs. just showed me some giant playset she ordered for the girls that I’m sure I’ll get to drown my liver assembling.

I already punted on planting more trees and mowing some of the trails one last time.

Gonna miss me too in the west metro. I’m also seeing 70 degrees again next week as well. I don’t think “winter” is imminent just yet.

It could be 29 here this weekend. I bet I will be in the mid 20’s because we are always a bit cooler than the forecast.

I’m with you on that one. Actually kind of dreading it after how brutal last year was.

Love the cold coming a lot of snow or not I cannot do warm weather too much. Rather have the cold but the one thing I do hate about winter how dark it gets so early. Start work in the dark and go home in the dark stinks.

…I did forget to mention that I will be on the beaches of Barbados from October 15-21st which is leading to some of the “race” involved with getting ready for freezing temps and Winter.

I’m with you. Winter is depressing as hell more due to the darkness than the cold or snow.

The money for the wall was appropriated in 2019 and cannot be spent on anything else. Only 20 miles will be built and Mexico will not be paying for any of it just as they never paid for any of the existing wall.

Yes, that’s correct. But DHS Secretary Mayorkas (sp?) openly admitted that there is a dire need for a “barrier” right now in this area too.

Do people know, when he said that “Mexico” would pay for it… he didn’t physically mean they will hand over peso’s… he meant that all the contraband, black market items, illegal drugs and other stuff that streams over the border for free, will halt… therefore hindering the Mexican cartels and hoodlums, basically making the wall pay for itself. Also he renegotiated the trade deal with Mexico and Canada, so the USA wasn’t continuing to be taken advantage of with the NAFTA joke that Clinton installed. But yeah, keep listening to what the media tells you like a good little citizen. coffee

Golly if only he could have just stated that it would have avoided so much confusion. Funny he didn’t even clarify his position when the president of Mexico responded. But we all know Donny has always been playing 3D chess when everyone else is playing checkers. It just requires that his followers read the tea leaves when they can’t make sense of his jibberish. This in and of itself is ironic because Trump “has all the best words”.

I love winter. My 2nd favorite season behind fall. I will admit however it gets too long in this state. By the time March rolls around I’m over it

the only thing worse than a long winter is a short fall which to me is the best time to be out as I navigate P4. Got 10 days off in October-November not counting weekends. I am pretty stoked for days like this………

The memo on his website in 2016 said:

“It’s an easy decision for Mexico: make a one-time payment of $5-10 billion to ensure that $24 billion continues to flow into their country year after year. There are several ways to compel Mexico to pay for the wall including the following:”

Maybe that is what he meant, but that is not how most people took it. It is easy to change your story when things do not work out. He is a prime example of that. Speaking of working out, how well is that drug control excuse working out?

Looks like we will be slapping down Hamas soon. Pretty cowardly attack on concert goers. If you think we backed Ukraine wait until you see how we support Israel.

How most people “took it” is how the media told them too… what does the drug control excuse mean…? The wall is not there.. fentanyl is pouring over and killing thousands !!
