I do like how the paint turned out. But i’m slow as molasses when it comes to tying . The material choices are downright amazing, as to what’s available today .

What would it cost me to get in to jig tying ? Just to get all the necessary stuff to begin and then build over time. I’m guessing my son would love to do this.

$100-$150 would get you well on your way with plenty of materials to start. Buy a decent rotary vise to make wrapping the chenile easier.

What Jeff said to start . It escalated for me this winter 170 for the rotary vise . Barlows Tackle in Texas is a place to get a lot of the materials. It does add up with fancy bobbins Scissors etc

Think it would be a great hobby for your son and you. For him the sense of accomplishment catching fish on a lure he created is quality time for sure .
