I found a bag of blanks stashed away that I’d forgotten about and decided to take a shot at a bluegill pattern that has been teasing me. As per my usual, I did two at a time. It took 2-1/2 hours, 14 color changes and airbrush wash-outs, and a couple beers, but here they are. Pretty much pleased with how they turned out.

They look awesome! Picked up an airbrush myself and been looking at techniques and tricks. Granted, trigger time will be the better teacher, but hoping to get to be able to paint something like that in time….

Those look great look like a dt series and I would throw those in a heart beat. I can see a weed line now that those would be money on.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the support. I love this airbrushing but it can get frustrating at times. Most recently with the water either too dirty to fish or too high and rain about every day I figured that all I have is time so I’ve been really focused on the work at hand and it shows.

Maybe ten years ago I displayed a showcase of soft plastics at the county fair and got a first place ribbon for my age bracket. I took the same display to the State Fair that year and took third place out of over 1500 entrants in my age open division. I’m hoping to create a block of baits to show locally again and if I can grab a first again, I’ll do the State Fair once more.

You do great work I really enjoy looking at all you do. And if you go to the big fair I will have to come visit. And I haven’t been to the state fair in 12 years, I despise that place
