After a 40 year career in banking – the last 30 at IDO’s favorite bank – I’m officially retired!! Words can’t describe how happy I feel. Thought I’d share my big moment…checking out for the last time and turning-in my security badge. Its finally over. Freedom at last!!

Was in the risk world, overseeing commercial credit in the regional ABL groups at the end. Started in commercial workout and eventually to overseeing the commercial ABL portfolio across the country and Canada at one time or another, with stints overseeing receivables securitization, syndicated finance, factoring, and government lending. Blessed to have worked with alot of great folks over the years.

My brother left/retired from Wells Fargo not to long ago at a very young age after what seems like a very successful lucrative career. He started as a teller in high school and as far as I could tell from the jiberish I barely understand he dealt with commercial real estate the latter portion of his career. He now does the same thing at a different place. Congratulations! You’re living the dream. Enjoy!

Congratulations, I am right behind you. Final badge scan / turn into security coming up May 1st ( pure coincidence that’s happening right before the fishing opener …..) 32 years in customer service at the same company servicing the legal field coming to a close soon.

Congrats on the retirement! Now keep yourself busy. Perhaps you could join EPG for pulltabs and some Coronas!?
