I was going to throw an eclipse party but had no time to planet…
Well it might be cloudy today, but at least you won’t have to wear ‘Sunblock..’
being I work nights I should have no problem sleeping under the “full moon” today….
If the space aliens landed today, they’d conclude we’re all insane and exterminate the whole bunch of us. This is pretty much like having a cloud go over, right?
SR
I’m more curious what’s going to happen when half the population (and their dogs apparently) are blind afterwards…
Think fishing will be affected?
I has been a snoozer for a few hundred years. But just imagine the power you could command back in the day if you claimed to have the ability to block out the sun and then you actually pulled it off!!!

They’d probably have burnt you at the stake.

Half the people who meet me want to do that now.

As a lover of horrid puns, this was apectacular.
OMFG it JUST got cloudy 15 min before peak!! How cruel is that!
hahaha Now the eclipse just looks like a storm moving in. It was neat while the sky was clear.
For me it was a joke nothing like some of the sunsets Ive seen in my lifetime
Don’t look at it through a kitchen colander. You’ll strain your eyes!!!!!

Touché my friend …
Thanks for the humor guys, I needed this for a stressful day!!
And yes I got a good laugh from the Caution River Guys thread as well!!
Rumor has it that Wyoming for the first time ever may have had more people than Antelope. – Not a joke. Fort Collins to past Cheyenne was bumper to bumper and stop/go with all the traffic going up to Casper
I looked at the eclipse today as it was happening and I never went blind.
I remember when I was growing up, mom caught me and said if you keep doing that you’ll go blind. I still have 20/20 vision.
Timmy, did you see Caution River Guys
Yess’r. Good material…..
It was a good day for bad humor.
Told my boss the colander joke. He told me that it was a good thing he was lazy, because firing me would be too much effort….lol
Timmy, did you see Caution River Guys
Who are the Caution River Guys? Is that like Trailer Park Boys?
It’s a new Alaskan reality TV show about game wardens patrolling the salmon run.
I did get a cool photo of the eclipse. Sometimes you have to pay attention to the less obvious.
I drove to MO for the eclipse. All I can say is YES, it was worth it. For all the folks who say “an eclipse, meh”. The TOTAL eclipse is nothing like viewing a partial eclipse. and it is much more than just the view. The experience is almost surreal. Yes I would drive to another one.
I thought it was pretty cool going on my afternoon walk with the lights dim, but still, meh. No, it wasn’t like a cloud was partially blocking the son, the ambient lighting was pretty cool. I imagine and extra 15% to a full eclipse from 85% would make a significant difference.
