Our classic 5star fish house was destroyed on Pine Lake east of Luck sometime the day before yesterday. It appears to have been rammed by a vehicle. We’re guessing someone joy riding doing donuts didn’t see it? Nothing was in the house to be taken.

I highly suggest you turn yourself in now, call the number clearly posted on the shack. Fair warning, Bruce will track you down and it’ll be game on once the authorities get involved.. flame flame chased

That’s too bad. Those 5star houses were pretty well built shacks…them closing their doors adds insult to injury in this case… Hope they find the person!

Perfect timing, humor is always the best medicine. Here’s a good memory setup out on our St. Croix. It was such an inclusive shack; the door was always left open and we welcomed both white and black crappie to the table. toast

I don’t spend a lot of time out fishing in the evening, however last weekend I fished a lake from about 6-11pm and was in my portable most of that time. I was actually getting a little nervous at one point in time as a fast moving vehicle was heading towards me before turning about 20 yards away to go around me. Made me kind of surprised you don’t hear about people getting run over while sitting in a shack.

im sorry to hear about your shack. not cool at all! Word to the wise though I wouldn’t publish a threat. Id rather that when Bruce finds him he can take care of business without being throw in the slammer for it and sued.

re-read your post and I think I misread the first time. sorry. unless Bruce AND the authorities were planning on throwing down against the perp.

I’m hoping to get a picture soon, it’s starting to sound like a mystery. My buddy is saying they aren’t exactly sure what hit it now, it’s messed up bad on the port side near the barn doors 4′ off the ground? I’ll will be out there on Sunday and get some pictures.

My friend with a place on the lake has his in-laws living at the cabin right now; his mother in-law saw the damage and took a picture yesterday morning while out on a walk. I guess she is having trouble emailing the picture off her flip phone..? rotflol

Some pictures from her last trip up to LOW in 2011.

I’m not sure about any evidence, it’s a bad game of telephone. The lake only has two driveable access points through private lots.

I’m not heavily invested in it, I just hate to see a fun place go down like this. I’ve only seen a handful of this brand. They are tanks. I’m gonna miss the whitetail & pheasant paneling and odd hole placement. toast

What may be the cause, to do similar damage all the way up that side of your house, could potentially be from someone backing the corner of a smaller trailer into it? As others have asked- were there tire tracks leading in that direction that stopped short of that damage?
No matter what it sucks & hope the culprit is found. Regardless, I definitely would rebuild it.

When I bought my Firebrand there were 2″x2″ reflective stickers on the 4 corners. I went to the truck stop and bought a pack of those red and white trailer 3m reflective stickers and placed them all over the place. When on the ATV or driving the truck at night you can spot that trailer from quite a ways off with the headlights on.

I just bought this 50yard roll of 3M 1/2″ tape off Amazon for my house.

Although it looks like the price just went up as I payed only $6.75 a couple weeks ago. It works great and I can hardly tell it’s on the house in the daylight but lights up like the sun when shined on at night. I placed a strip all around the top of the roof and along the bottom.

The stars and logo are reflective on each corner, I’ve never had problems finding it, but we clearly should have had more reflective tape on it. Hopefully no-one got hurt too bad, the house was knocked a good 3′ off it’s blocks.

I’m heading up to Brimson tonight to a different buddy’s cabin; sadly, it was his dad’s ice house back in the day. He gave it to my daughter when she was 6 years old. I’m going to have to wait and tell him after we finish a couple beers.
