I am getting tired of wet feet in the morning lately doing my thing outside. Talking with others, they showed me a picture from Amazon of a shoe called a unisex garden shoe.

I will not order from Amazon, especially shoes, anyone got any idea where I can find a decent rubber type shoe???

Muck low tops. At most Farm or sporting goods stores. Also available off brands cheaper. Have a pair at home and the camper. Even good for short stints in a couple inches of snow.

Xtratuff 12 inch, use all summer wet lawn, garden chores, on the boat in rain comfortable and quality, Alaskans are big on this boot. Not cheap but they hold up over cheap rubber boots.

    This^^^^^

Xtratuff has an ankle high boot as well. Xtratuffs are the most comfortable rubber boot I’ve ever worn.

Could they make them any uglier? Cripes, the wife isn’t gonna feel frisky for a month if she sees me in those.

Merrell Jungle Moc is waterproof, comfortable, and you can wear them anywhere. They’re only kind of ugly lol.

Red wing boots. Gortex. You probably woe
    Re them all your life.
They never let you down and they have pull on boots or lace up. Screw rubber boots, they have a place and time but the red wings will work for any time and every time

Ha ha, OK, but I wear them in the winter, so they’re less conspicuous. I would not be caught dead wearing them with shorts. )

They also make a lined Merrell for the winter but you need your AARP card to buy them.

Besides the Merrell and muck options, the Haflinger clogs also work well from what I’ve seen at families houses. Depends on what you want to spend, and how much ease you want sliding them on and off.

The Nokomis shoe shop by me in crystal is a great resource. Obviously a ways off from you but if you’re around it’s worth stopping into. They usually always have something on sale worth buying.

Id always opt out for whatever has the most traction. Wet grass, slight slopes, half cup of coffee and stiff joints can make for a long lasting PIA

I secretly wear crocks when I’m alone and no ladies are around. Otherwise it’s my red wings. Lace up for work and pull on for home. Both gortex and both withstand the test of time, and elements. Next year I turn 34 or 35 then I may look in to the Merrell

Ha! I’ve been in AK since the early 80’s and Xtratuf’s are a way of life. Girls wear them at prom, brides and grooms wear them at weddings. Heck, I’ve seen pastors wear them at Sunday service. If you want dry feet, and don’t want to slip on wet surfaces, they’re more than worth the money.

I also secretly wear crocs around the house and then one day on a date night to a nice restaurant I looked down at my feet and realized I was still wearing them… Got a few funny looks but now its a funny story.

They’re so gawd damn manly they’ll have Mrs. Ralph all over you. Wear the Xtratufs with a lumberjack shirt and she’ll be all like, “Ryan get over here, boy, I’m gonna sharpen your axe you rough and tough…”

Once you hit 65. Comfort, safe grip to the ground are top priorities. If you embarrass your wife. That’s just a bonus. I wear Crocks a lot, They’re camo if that helps.
