Any night fisherman have any recommendations for tipup lights/sounds? I’ma be campin out on the ice this weekend with some buddies and need an attention getter for the wee hours when one may be sleepy and/or *slightly* foggy in the head )

Hm, I wonder what causes fogginess of the head?

Frabil makes a piece that has a lite on it and it goes on when the flag goes up. I also think they have ones with sirens too, i just cant think of what they are called.

Check out bluetipz. They send an alert signal to your smartphone and have a flashhing light

I don’t think the siren model from Frabill is still available. Somebody PLEASE correct me if I’m wrong. Picked one up a few years back. Love it and can’t find any more. Also can’t find any others that are audible.

Work calls me, hate my phone, and turn it off while ice fishing flame

Tip up lights seem to be pretty easy to find and won’t break the bank.

Bluetipz look super cool, but expensive! Maybe instead of straight whiskey, we’ll drink irish coffees and just try to stay up all night with the flashlight a-shinin’ )

I’ve been using the Strike Sensor. I’ve been very happy with them. They are a little cheaper that the Bluetipz. You can run as many of them on one receiver as you want. http://www.strikesensor.com/

You can get window alarms at the dollar store sometimes.
    Used them last year

You can get these at a Dollar General for a buck. Works great.

Yup… window alarms. They are a little tricky with certain kinds of tipups but they are loud as heck… I bet on a quiet night they would wake you up if your tipup was 50 yards away. Can’t beat the price either!
