Tips on how to get bugspray stains off a Helix case?

I purchased a used Helix that had little white dots all over the case (not the screen) Doing a little research I found alot of folks say it’s from bug spray droplets… They will not wipe off with just water, so before I try wiping GooGone or WD40 on it, has anybody else had this issue and found a solution that worked that didn’t take any off the finish off the case? That’s what i’m worried about..

I don’t have any pictures of my Helix, but I found one online that looks very similar (except my screen is fine)

My guess is that it’s not a stain but a chemical reaction with the plastic. I’ve seen bug spray destroy cheap sunglasses.

I had spray on sunscreen do that to my birds. I’ve tried everything with no luck.

Yep, DEET melted the plastic. Damage is likely permanent. Find a fix, let us know!

No deet sprays allowed in my boat. I thought this would of been taken care of by now since all of those Minnkota’s were turning white back on aught 2?

Permanent as far as I know as well.

I forgot a can on the seat of a motorcycle once…. vinyl off road bike…. burnt a ring into the seat in one day.

Now I finally know why my graphs tend to look like that! I could never figure out why!

You might want to try a product called Back to Black. It’s sold in your auto care isle, near the waxes, and just wipes on. It’s made for getting your black trim on automobiles and such things, back to your original black color. Really nice for eliminating wax stains on black trim, and I think would do the same on locators.

I would try this too. It did an amazing job on the bumpers of my Jeep…..worth a shot at least?
