now that the boat is put away and the temps have been below freezing its time to start charging those flasher batteries, re-tying your spools and tip ups, and dust off those fish houses we are ice bound boys! well by December 20th (my first SAFE ice prediction) we will be ice bound in the metro.

I have been resisting putting the boat away so far. I am going to try to get out one more time this weekend, then I too have a lot of reel maintenance to do before I use them for the ice. One of the benefits of a small tin boat with a 15hp, is I can just take the motor off the boat and bring it into the house for the winter.

I can wait, the river is still calling my name. However I did pick up a used FL 20 from a fella today for a heck of deal and I’m maybe a little more excited now.
