I went out to the shop about two hours ago and we had a west/southwest breeze, very warm. I jus came in and sat down at the desk with a north facing window and things have changed. lol. Pretty chilly And that breeze is now a wind.

Its time and I’m ready for a real cool down. We fished Weds and the water temps was still over 60 degrees. Looking out the window at the small seed feeders the Chickadees seem nervous. Maybe they know something is coming. I’ve seen a couple Downy’s hanging around so tomorrow I am putting out my suet log and a couple suet cakes. Our White Pine is shedding brownm needles to be the band so I ‘m hoping fall has finally arrived.

the pine needles fell here in the last 2 weeks… great in the fire pit, if you dare burn…

I’m waiting until they’ve finished dropping, then rake them into a windrow and let them sit until I feel like dragging the mobile firepit onto the drive and burn them up.

I see a week from Saturday they’re saying some rain maybe….. lol. They can’t get the rain chances squared away for a day later let alone a week.
