Tie Braid right to spoons?

Hey guys do you tie your braided ice line to the spoons direct or do you use a small flouro leader with a swivel?

I’ve been experimenting this year. I have a few rods that I tied a fluorocarbon leader to the ice braid and a few that I tied a very small swivel to the braid and then a 4-6′ leader of fluorocarbon. but in an earlier thread, someone posted that they tie 4′ braid and under, direct to the jig/lure. I was thinking that a swivel would help lessen line twist.

Just my thoughts. I will keep watching this.

Why not a snap swivel? That allows you to switch lures.

I use the suffix baby blue braid to my lure. I guess I do both. I have some setup with fluro leader and some straight tie.

Red I do not need a leader with the stained lake or on a few others one does not do better than others. On better clear lakes the fluro leader does better.

My panfish setups I use 3 lb braid and tie directly to my jigs.
