Not that it matters but I am curious why the police were called to the domestic.

Do you all think the audio of the phone call to 911 will be made public? I understand this information will never change the outcome here but as said in earlier post this information matters. It might help people understand more of what happened that evening.

Wouldnt they normally respond to a domestic? I would sure hope so. Also, he was a convicted felon so I am sure that played a role as well.

If someone on a thread had a personal connection with these lost heroes and requested time and time again to please keep it to prayers and thoughts, simply out of respect I will do that.

Are there any gofundmes setup for their families? We all know these everyday heroes don’t get paid enough. Pls post if you know any. Perhaps instead of arguing about the what’s and ifs we can collectively make a real change for those they were forced to leave behind.

The neighborhood book of faces group mentioned putting blue lights in the outdoor fixtures. Think I’ll stop at home dump and get 2 blue and a red. Should look pretty neat.

The city of Burnsville is directing donations to the Law Enforcement Labor Services’ Benevolent Fund. LELS is the largest public safety labor union in Minnesota. “This is the only contribution site we have verified on behalf of the families,” the city announced on its website on Tuesday.

A local organization called Soldiers 6 here in the SE Metro is also selling special made hoodies to honor Paul, Matthew, and Adam and all the profits will go to their families. I personally know the owners of Soldiers 6 and they are a wonderful, supportive organization.

This isn’t the place to argue over politics, mental health, or gun control. Many people are feeling the tragic loss of these three heroes and Sunday’s events are a reminder of the sacrifice these men and all of our first responders make for us. Let’s honor them now and bicker somewhere else another day.

Funeral arrangements were released the other day.

MINNEAPOLIS — The three first responders killed in Burnsville last weekend will be memorialized with a public funeral on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

The joint funeral will take place at Grace Church in Eden Prairie at 11 a.m. The families have also planned private funerals for each victim.

Thanks for bumping this topic Nitrodog, if nothing else just remind everyone of what’s taken place. I’m not saying I have all the solutions to this, but I’d love to find a way to keep the names of these 3 men, as well as others who have lost their lives defending our communities and country, visible to all as long as possible.

I’ve mentioned before but if I had the money I’d buy some billboards and cycle the pictures and names of those who have made that sacrifice so all could be reminded.

It was emotional to watch for sure. Dan I agree sadly most will forget this happened soon and go about our lives as usual. That if nothing else should be a huge reminder to the sacrifice of our first responders and soldiers. We get to walk around without much worry while they watch over us. May they rest in peace.

Bless your son and if he so chooses I hope he has a long and safe career. I have the utmost respect to law enforcement.

Attending an even makes you look at your own life and ask am I doing enough? These men answer the call daily and risk their life’s daily heading into unknown danger. I have nothing but the upmost respect for anyone willing to go into these professions or volunteer for them. This includes Military, police, EMS, corrections and front line nursing staff.

The unknown thing that is often not talked about is the toll it takes on the family. The hours and fear the live with when their love ones are at work or deployed. The mental hardship it causes their relationship when a love one works in these fields for many years witnessing these tragedies.

RIP We have it from here.
