Headed up to the pond friday night with my buddy. We are taking his 1 ton dually and a single axle wheel house out. He is a bit sketched out about it not being safe. Anyone been out with a similar set up and if so which roads w/bridges were good to go? Thanks!

Went out of Red Door with a F-150 Crew 6.5′ and single axle wheelhouse last weekend, no issues or even concern about safety. The crack at shore at Red Door is close, so it takes a couple sharp turns to get over the bridge. Saw dozens of 1 ton trucks with dual axle houses everywhere cross-country. I went cross-country for about 10 miles back and forth from different flats all weekend with no issues. Take it slow or your stuff will take a beating, it is pretty rough out there after the thaw and freeze. Hardly any snow cover.

Dang near had to put the extension on the auger last weekend out on the flats.
and what Eagle said, pretty rough and not much snow cover. Don’t forget your ice spikes.
