Has had the fish in a frenzy. I’ve been doing great fishing this weekend. The crappies walleyes and pike have been active. Gone through 2 full scoops of crappie minnows, 1 scoop of rainbow chubs, and 2 dozen medium sucker minnows.
But on the other hand the lakes were busy today.

Just be careful to stay ON the ice, not thru it.

Every where I’ve been this weekend has had really good ice 12 to 16 inches. But there is a spot on a lake near me that was down to 6. Just have to play it smart. But yes you are correct. Can never be to safe

The fishing was pretty good for us yesterday also. My local pond had a tournament yesterday. Saw a group of young kids (late teens) catch a very nice walleye. I walked over by them and after video and pictures they released the 26.5″ fish. I gave them much credit for the release and vouched for them as the resort that runs the tournament needs to see the fish. Luckily the resort owner took all things into account and excepted the fish without seeing it! We caught nice crappies, gils up to 9.5″ and a few eater walleye. Great day to be out and 190 people registered on a 1000 acre lake. Were I live that’s big numbers! And the large walleye still swims!

If our warm weather does not end soon, I may have to mow the yard in January. That would be a first. Raked leaves in the yard yesterday in just a hoody and broke a sweat. Next few days still have days over freezing and nights at or just below the freezing mark. Gotta get on ice soon or I will go completely nuts or become an alcoholic.

Nice to see somebody is out there and getting some fish through the hole.
