I was up on LOW last weekend with Eelpoutguy and I was able to land this 48 1/4″ sturgeon. It took about 45 minutes to land it but it was a fun fight. We fished out of Adrian’s Resort and the fishing was the best we have had in a long time.

Great fish! Just an FYI.. Don’t hold them by the gills. It damages them. They go down the hole alive. Then die later due to the gills tearing.

The gill or the gill cover? Either way, I wouldn’t have known not to hold by the gill cover.

I did not, however I did rattle in the sturgeon for 31lifer.
