This local story sickens me. Boy attacked getting off his bus.

Saw that on the news last night.

I was impressed the the owner put both dogs down the same day. She said something like “I don’t want people being afraid to walk in our neighborhood.”

I know the police would of taken them, but it made me believe in people a bit more knowing she did it on her own. Although that doesn’t help the boy any.

That is really scary, poor kid is going to be afraid of dogs the rest of his life because of this most likely.
I dont necessarily agree with the poke at the breed however because it could certainly have been any breed, but there are tendencies with certain breeds like things like this could happen.
Glad the old lady and that other man were there to intervene because undoubtedly it could have been deadly for that kid.
The owner put the dogs down. Right move when something like this happens, but man a bad deal all around.

Prayers for the boy and family.

And good on the owner for taking care of the issue. Too bad it had to be after-the-fact. poor kid……

Sad story for sure. I hope the boy has a quick recovery and no long term mental or physical injuries form this. I’m sure this is not going to be good for the dogs owner as well. Both mentally and financially. A fair # of insurance policies have breed exclusions as well as limitations on their liability coverage for dog bites. I hope this dog owner was not one of them.
