Thinking of getting new boat

I’ve got an 04 Suzuki 140 on my lund fisherman 1800 and I love it. Really nice little motor. Idles down to where it sounds like a sewing machine but can still push my rig into the mid-upper 40s. Would highly recommend them.

I have a 185 Tournament Sport with a 150 Suzuki. There are not enough superlatives I can say about this motor. It is so quiet that when I took my dad for a ride the first time, we cruised across the lake and I slowed down to idle speed he asked “what happened to the motor? It just shut off”. Nope it was still idling.
I troll crankbaits a lot and I always use the 150. It trolls just fine for how I fish and the only thing you hear is the water coming out of the spigot hitting the lake or the waves lapping against the side of the boat.
The only other motor I would consider is a Yamaha, but after owning this Suzuki for 7 years now, there would be no reason for me to ever even think about one. Its incredible.
The only jaw dropper for me was when I realized that beast takes 8 quarts of oil. So oil changes are kinda spendy, but after the first year (after breakin) you will likely only need to do that once a year.

Same thing happened to me while standing on dock and somebody came in with a Suzuki. I thought “how do they plan on getting in their space with motor off?” until they put it back in gear. a lot quieter than my 60HP Mercury.
