Check out the Greenhorn Bass Tour, especially if you have never done one before or aren’t a professional angler. It is a metro based tournament series with four different series of 5 tournaments. Sunday’s and Wednesday’s. It’s geared towards fun and learning/improvement but there are payouts and prizes. It’s my second year doing it and it’s a blast. The video below is from our last tournament on North/South Center.

A lot of tournaments have people with boats that are willing to get paired up with a random partner for a tournament or a whole series. Look into it if you really want to get involved in them.

It’s a lot of fun and I’ve realized how much harder tournaments are than just fishing recreationally. But you really learn to pattern fish in these 8 hour tournaments.

Got a pretty cool pic snapped of myself and my partner with the big wall cloud coming in during yesterday’s tournament.

We got off the lake right after they snapped that pic and waited it out for an hour in the truck. That was one crazy storm. A lightning bolt hit a silo about 100 yards from where we were at the launch on East Rush. Loudest crack I’ve ever heard.

    Very cool picture.

I saw one of those out in the bad lands prairie dog hunting. Wind went from 0 to 90 in under a minute.

Never try to close your tonneau cover in 90 mph winds ) got a heck of a dent in my truck from it lol.

Yikes! I can imagine there are some pretty spectacular storms out there. I’ve been out there quite a bit but had nice weather each time.

Here’s the video of the event. Skip to the middle for some footage of this wall cloud. Had us running for the launch!

Those Nitros are pretty quick boats. I had one years ago with a 125 Merc. Hated the motor but the boat was fun.

I’ve owned it for almost 3 years. My first boat and it’s been nothing but a dream so far. It is fast, I top out at 50 mph with just me and around 45 mph with a second. The motor loves to go full throttle but definitely chugs along at lower rpms. rotflol
