So I picked up a pair of Helix 9 to add to my boat. The units are just the beginning. Ethernet Hub, Ethernet Cables, Cable adapters, LakeMaster Pro Card, AutoChart Live program. That’s $750 dollars just to tie it all together and make it work as designed. Connecting all that to the 898 or 788 at the bow and the I-Pilot Link. I wonder at what point this got out of hand? With that said, I’m excited.

What’s truly sad is that in a few years it will all be wireless and you’ll be ripping all those cables and hubs/adapters out of your boat…

Most know that I have a camper on the river. When the parking lot is full it’s amazing to me how many WIFI signals my computer picks up (but can’t connect to because of being password protected).

I’m going to have to figure out how to change the name of my WIFI so I can find it easier.
