And to top it off the shot was a little low.

You suck…. I don’t know how many thousands of arrows I’ve shot since I was 12 and started this crazy sport. Never once. Broke a lot of nocks and vanes over the years.

    Congrats!!!!!

I always think it is well worth it. I have had the good fortune to do it twice already!

I’ve done that 6 times. I started shooting 5 spot instead of animal targets. The first couple were pretty cool, after that it just pisses you off.

So there are 3 of you I don’t care for now… -) 6 times… Are you shooting at 10 yards? Sorry, the devil inside.

He must be shooting a crossbow! Or arrows the diameter of paper plates! I’ve done it a couple times but it’s been 5+ years, I just it’s all downhill from here!

My last one was at 60 yards. Most have been at 30 or 40 because I don’t practice at shorter yardages than that. If you practice always at 40, when you shoot at something at 20 yards, you can pick out a single hair and hit it.

And no, not shooting a crossbow. Mathews Reezen. Any time you guys want to shoot for beer, give me a call.

IT’s nice to shoot well. But I never understood the excitement when someone robin hoods an arrow. That’s an easy $27-$28 down the drain.

    Nice consistency.

I agree. Shooting 70 yards for practice make 40 yard shots a chip shot.

It is nice to see consistency. And it’s fun to do a couple of times but
I have to say I’m with John on this. I practice long most the time and still have it happen on occasion. After a few times, the cool factor wears off and it just gets expensive.

At least it’s not like the old aluminum arrow days when you wrecked both arrows. Now days I’m pulling out the back arrow and putting it back into service and then you hope it doesn’t happen again.

My son asked if I was going to keep it that way. I responded no! I need the arrow. -)

Nice. Agree with the others one here though, first one was cool (I kept it), second one pissed me off as I had just gotten new Maxima’s at +-14 bucks a piece to go with my new bow that spring, now I will not shoot more than one shot per bulls-eye.

I’m to cheap to even try that. I pick different spots on my targets so I hope I never ruin an arrow doing that. I would be so pissed…..I came so close about 4 years ago I freaked, thinking what the hell am I doing? I coulda ruined a good arrow…and I stopped doing that…

Back in the day when I shot aluminum, my buddy switched to carbon. I would pick off his arrows all the time. Of course I thought it was funny.

Nice job! Believe it or not I used to be able to robbin hood on purpose about 40% of the times I tried it at 20 yards indoors. Kept track one summer until I got to 18 and realized what it cost me. Kept a couple I did at over 30 yards outdoors. Now I shoot at the end of golf tees! It does surprise me how many people replied that they have never had this happen!

Ummmmmm ok…..I have now reversed my stance on Robin Hoods. Second time shooting these brand new arrows. I was group shooting cause it was my first time shooting 30 yards with the new bow. There goes $15…

Order some 5 spot targets. Reduces risk of robin hood.
