Got up early this morning and headed to the croix. Stayed in one area most of the morning but managed to catch. 6 small walleyes and 2 smaller saugers and I also managed to catch a catfish that was a great fight and a 32in northern. Not what I was looking for but all in all a fun fight. I mainly pulled cranks all morning in the 12-20ft of water

If your not looking for a fun fight…stick to walleyes. )

That’s what I love about river fishing. Every time out a person never knows what’s going to be pulling on the end of the line…or what size!

No kidding when I hooked that I thought I had a giant walleye. The fight was kinda the same as a big walleye. As the northern goes I knew It wasn’t a walleye right away that thing was all over the place. Evan got a couple jumps outa him. Great morning on the riv.
