Long tornado?
This doesn’t sound good.
A long-track tornado is a tornado that remains in contact with the ground for a considerable distance, typically exceeding 25 miles. These tornadoes are often associated with strong supercells and can cause widespread destruction.
The rain can take a break for a while so things can dry up and farmers can plant.
Very little rain here at least where I live north of sartell. Havent had any significant precip since the snow a while back.

figured you would get some the way it rolled by here…
That Reed Timmer guy with his “Twister” looking armored vehicle is in Rochester Minnesota.
I have mixed feelings whether or not the storm chaser Social Media guys are interesting showing live tornados in some instances, or just a circus and hazard as they speed around roads chasing storms.
They just cancelled all after school activities in my kids district tonight due to severe weather between 5-8pm. Its getting real now. Brace yourself.
Same here, including games that are starting at 4:30pm despite the storms coming around 7:30-8
This should hopefully guarantee a bust.

Yeah, the radar looked impressive and it certainly did rain here, but nothing significant in the gauge. I didnt even measure it just dumped it out, but it wasnt much.
What the hell is wrong with the world now. Just went to get a haircut and the place is closing at 2 due to the weather. Huh?
Lmao we cant do haircuts due to weather terrorism. Thats a new one.

WHAT!? That is definitely a new one. LOL

Luckily I planned ahead and knew the storm was coming so I got trimmed up yesterday, lol can’t believe places are closing early. The storm looks to be mostly going away or dropping severity by quite a bit. We’ve been getting alot of mist, better quick get the kids from school

over an inch here so far
for those interested, here’s a famous storm chaser Reed Timmer’s live stream as his crew is driving their Heavy Duty F-150 basically transformed into a tank chasing live in Southern MN, there’s a tornado about to pop right now and they are repositioning so they end up in the path…

Its a f250 or 350
yeah, the bigger Ford truck, storm is currently heading towards Springfield, MN
I did some emergency piling of crap into my boat and anywhere it would fit to get my truck in the garage for the first in 15 years. Metro area should now be safe from hail
looks like the storm is splitting up before it hits the Twin Cities and is now going North & South…
Any hail reports yet?
Southwest MN had reports of supposed baseball size…it looks like that storm is heading towards Rochester…There’s another storm currently going through St Cloud area…
Bad stuff out there but unless more develops, it looks like it’s going to perfectly split and spare most of the metro. I’m in the far south metro and it’s barely brushing me to the south. The cell to the north is barely going to brush the 494/694 split.

some of it could actually be thee weather….could also be the possible condition of the field with heavy rain afterwords????
it pretty much missed us here in cold spring. good thing its not 90 degrees…..it could be butt sticky!!
Yep, gonna split north and south of the Twin Cities. Looks like the barber closed early for nothing.
So can I come out of my bathtub and and remove the mattresses from my vehicles if I live in the metro.
I do have the chase on in the background… they’re getting close to my in-laws.
It looks dicey for the Rochester area. There are 3 or 4 active tornado warning right now. Hard to tell with how the weather reports bounce around. The localk weather had a crew on the road west of Alber Lwea and the sky there was BLACK. Its still relatively light colored here. They say 6:30-6:45 is when the cell should hit here. I’ll be on the west facing porch with a beer, enjoying the show. The radar map was half white with lightning strikes and I love light shows.
