Went quickly from steady rain, to sleet, to the big flakes coming down like a sumbich in SW Wright County.

It took me 45 minutes to get home. Normally 18 minutes. I was going 15 MPH for much of the way. I could barely see the Ram right in front of me and that is ONLY because of all the stickers.

Made the most of the kids snow day.

If it’s not safe enough to go to school it’s safe enough to drive to the Brule jester

    Had the river to ourselves.

A quiet week is on tap. Only a minimal chance of moisture on wed/thurs. Slightly colder for a few days, followed by a big warm up later this week. Nearing 70 by next weekend.

    Spring! grin

62 degrees up here on lake of the woods. No shortage of ice though. I have an 18 inch extension and need most of it.

Windy and warm here along Pool 4. Got the chicken coop stained, a couple more ash down and blocked up, and 40 white pines planted by 2:00pm. Now I’m relaxing on the porch having a beer watching my 5 year old aerate/destroy the lawn and field road with her dirtbike.

Part of me wanted to fish the river, but when I saw the number of boats trailering up the highway I quickly thought better of it.

^It’s crazy how a guy has to go fish the ocean to get calmer waters than here in MN/WI!

Lake Pepin could have been surfed yesterday.

    Nice snook!

Looks like a good shot of some measurable rain on Thursday/Friday. I haven’t had much moisture in a while now. I’ll take a good rain.

I got about 1/2 inch. Looks like the heaviest cells went through south of the Twin Cities last night.

7 of the next 10 days show a decent chance of rain, starting Sunday night.

Our rain was a nice one. Its still drizzling outside so none of what got in the ground is evaporating.

I tilled the one garden on Weds, then planted my Patterson onion plants. About 100 of them. We’re still using those from last year!

This rain will have the asparagus up now so we’ll be enjoying that pretty darned soon.

We got rain yesterday morning in the form of hail.I think alot of you golfers would have had a field day with a 5 iron.
It was golf ball sized and lots of damage. It’s roof and window time.

This week is going to be great. A few chances of light rain to go with this light rain that’s already falling is perfect.

The river needs some flow, the morels are going to need some moisture, and I won’t have to water trees for a week or so
