I had .57″ at 7 this morning. Just a light but steady drizzle out there right now. Snow is forecast, but not much.

I don’t have a gauge out either. But based off my kids sled that was still laying out got at least 1 inch of rain in north metro. Likely closer to 1.5 – 2 inches. If anyone has an accurate measurement please correct me.

Either way, it was some great moisture for this north metro area as we’ve been exceptionally dry (again)

I had the gauge out and measured 1.7 inches. I emptied it and brought it back in so it doesn’t freeze.

The European modeling for tues/wed shows significant snow somewhere from northern South Dakota eastward towards the North Shore. That area across the state from those locations could see up to a foot of snow. shock

Been snowing pretty good all day today. And melting almost immediately so that is additional moisture getting into the ground. And yeah, more on the way.

This weather is unreal. If something drastic doesn’t change fishing opener up here in far north Minnesota is in serious jeopardy. Anything can happen but it doesn’t look promising as far as the extended forecast goes. Looks to cool down actually.

We’ve got some snow covering the layer of hail from the other day.

I think you’re the resident expert on the big lake over there. How much snow did you guys get? I’m not scared of a little slop on the boat but I’d rather not get it completely trashed. What do you think it will be like tomorrow on the lake and roads? I was kinda thinkin it might still be rockin from today?

I would be more worried about the ice then anything else. I could believe the ramps are going to be a skating rink. Since the hail Friday night it has been below freezing till today where we are suppose to hit 40. The ramps on Superior could be ice free due to it staying above freezing close to shore.

According to radar it’s supposed to be snowing here…… Are the weather terrorists at it again!? Just like the last few predictions.

I laugh because of all of the schools and collages in the Duluth area that have all ready closed and we have not had 1 flake so far. Overnight we might have 4″ and the heaviest will be tomorrow afternoon.

No accumulation here thus far. Just wet ground.

Mostly rain, sleet, or immediately melting snow.

Still just damp here in Kanabec county, central Minnesota. A few extremely small flakes is all so far.

Just got the call during baseball practice that the boys are off tomorrow…

Sounds like it’s supposed to be kinda shitty outside but I’m sure we’ll find something to do.

We have maybe an 1 1/2″ of snow overnight. I guess the worst of the storm is yet to come but the weather map looks like later then sooner.

I was only sideways 3 times on the way into work this morning. Driving on rural roads is WAY different than in town. Lots of slush and slop out of town. In town they are basically just wet.
I am guessing around 3 inches on the ground at my house. In St Cloud maybe 1.5. Far more than that fell, but it melted and continues to melt. Its drizzling now and 38 degrees. What a mess.

I just expanded our local weather radar, and by the looks of what’s yet to come up there I’d be ok with just staying indoors today. 9:45-10:00 this morning looks like about when the onset of ugly might start up.

We have drizzle here and warming temps thru the day so whatever little bit of white slop that we got yesterday will go quickly today. Our streets and sidewalks were mostly just wet last night, but there was a little snow on grassy areas.

In Duluth the wind is howling and some snow with it. Theyt’ve upped the wave predictions from 9 feet to 11 by mid-afternoon now and there are rip current warnings for the surfers. I didn’t see any of them out there today, yet, but the day is young.

In Two Harbors the waves are rolling over the breakwater.

I’m just fine seeing this drizzle.

I pushed one shovel load across the drive and realized it was the heaviest snow ever made and quit. Mother nature gets to clear this one off my drive.
