Watch out opening those car doors!!! I almost lost one at lunch.
g ot that right, I’m exiting the house via my east facing patio door today. That wind would rip my screen door right out and land in gims yard!

Possible incoming rain/snow mix on Tuesday/Wed this week looks likely. Starting off as rain and turning into heavy concrete style snow overnight.
Not before a couple nice days though. Possibly 55 degrees on Monday here.
There is a chance here in Granite Falls we could see 70 next Monday.
Ice won’t last long with the way this forecast looks.
Models are showing an initial arrival of rain tomorrow and then transitioning to snow at some point later in the day or overnight, depending on where you are located. The backside will have a period of heart attack snow. The bullseye for the highest snow totals look to be in southeast MN near Red Wing, Lake City, etc which state up to 6 inches.
Liquid equivalent moisture will exceed an inch in many areas, which is very beneficial for the landscape. Any snow will melt quickly, as the forecast looks to warm up substantially behind it.
Im so glad I fished that contest on Sat with vehicles driving every square inch of the lake. It was a site to see and soooooo convenient.
I’m hoping that we don’t have a real long delayed spring, or at least Central Manitoba does not. We moved out planned spring canada trip up to the earlies we have ever do ne it ( May 29th – June 5th ) It will be my luck that this year will be a delayed melt and we will have to worry about the ice being out by our trip date. We are trying to get closer to the ice out date. Hopefully not so close as to have to worry about it.
This time of year, and because we’ll have high temps above freezing in immediate forecast following the storm, I’ll just let the heart attack snow lay there. Having a south-facing driveway helps immensely, as well!
6-8” forecasted here along Pool 4 after a decent rain with 40mph winds behind it.
It’s too soft to plow without wrecking grass or losing rock so it’s getting run down. Anyone plowing this stuff up with 40s and then 50s coming behind it is short on work to do.

My plow hasn’t moved since I took it off 2 years ago. I’m not going to change that for a March snowstorm. Even if they call it a blizzard.
The rain quit and now there is slop coming down. Everything is just a skating rink.
They put us in a blizzard warning and upped the forecasted totals to 6-10″. I still am running it all down on our driveway and around the buildings. 24 hours of crap followed by smooth sailing to Spring here along Pool 4 is my hope.
My 5 year old daughter rode dirtbike after school until sunset in a tee shirt yesterday as it hit 60 degrees, and now will want to go skiing tomorrow. Midwest weather is something else.
Just a light drizzle here, but if it gets much darker the street lights will be coming on. Weird.
Got the #4 news on. Sounds like the southern part of the state is in for a doozy. Blizzard warnings and ALOT of closings scrolling along the bottom.
Some good moisture down south would be great. We need the river to rise a bit. This storm should hopefully do that.
Just over 1/2″ of rain thus far. 4-8 predicted for tonight/tomorrow. They’re saying the system should be out of here by noon Weds. Being gone early is good, what it leaves may not be. I’m hoping the predictions go the way they have for the last year and fall apart.
Kinda nasty out there tonight. Not looking forward to the commute tomorrow morning.

me neither, 0200 commute is usually not good, sometimes one gets really lucky and a plow truck convoy puts one behind even more..
It just started with the white here. We’re still above freezing by a couple degrees but the rain has moved on. As mentioned a short time ago, about 1/2″ of liquid here.
I left my place at 3am and we probably had 4 to 5 inches. It was hard to tell because how windy it was, the drift on my garage door was 10 plus inches
This stuff is really fun to shovel.

I’m going to just run it over and wait for the melt.
As BC said, hard to tell how much snow here. Maybe 2 inches but the wind is howling. Thankfully its not as windy as last Friday. Interesting drive in, I could have used a Ram with all the stickers to weigh me down a bit more.

I plowed through at about 65 all the way in today, but everyone else was going 30 with their hazards on. Then I’d come up to some one hogging the fast lane at 25 to 30 that wouldn’t move over for what ever reason. They must no realize they are the problem.

I passed someone in an AWD Chrysler 300 going 20 in a 40. The road was fine and straight as an arrow there. Its better drivers like that just stay home.
4-5 inches here, mostly the heavy wet stuff. Constant blowing too.
The track shifted to the west and areas that were supposed to get 1-2 inches got triple that amount.
Cannon Falls has nearly 11 inches. That’s the most I’ve seen reported thus far.
Im the only one from my team who made it into the office today. Pretty sad really. One lives a few blocks away and I am like 15 miles. All the plows I saw on the way in did not have a dang plow on them anymore.
