“As much as 5 to 8 inches of snow could fall”

“Expect disruptions to daily life, the Weather Service said. Closures and disruptions to infrastructure may occur.”

My God the Midwest has gone beyond soft. What a joke.

Get your bread, milk, and $8 eggs today while you still can.

It’s not nice out right now.

We got another 4″ of snow last night with 20-25mph winds with gusts up to 40mph today.

There’s a four foot drift in front of the shop right now that wasn’t there yesterday lol

I dont think the general public has gone soft, I think its the weather terrorists. Thankfully we have “IDO Belinda” aka Gim to keep us from panicking.

You’re probably right. When the NWS uses phrases like “disruptions to infrastructure”, I was assuming we’d be talking 1-2′ of snow. It sure does generate views/clicks/etc though.

If we can keep it at 6″ or less here, I won’t bother to plow. Once you pile up snow out here in the sticks you get to plow daily with the wind.

6-9″ snow chances starting to look pretty good for MSP metro and western Wisconsin this weekend.

You have to stay off social media for upcoming weather events. It’s just clickbait to stir things up for likes/views/clicks. At least no one is calling this a MASSIVE amount of snow yet.

Seems like it is tracking further South from what I have been seeing. Twin Cities looks to be the big winners.

Brought ours to the curb this morning and it got picked up as I was leaving. Came home and it was up the hill of the driveway, had to be the wind bc no one else seems to know how to do it! rotflol

I’m here to save you guys from weather terrorism! rotflol

They’ve backed off on the snow totals for Fri/Sat. It looks weaker and faster moving. Yesterday they said 8-12 inches. Now it’s more like 3-4.

Still is probably gonna be the most snow here since before Christmas even if it’s only a few inches.

Oh and BTW, a new strain of bird flu was recently found. So eggs will not be going down in cost anytime soon either. Get ready for 12 dollar/dozen eggs.

Wind has died down. I blew poop paths for the wife’s ankle biter today so now he doesn’t have to spin in circles so his butt isn’t under snow. He loved it.

Literally just ruined my weekend. I was excited for a good ole fashioned dumping. Got up early today really fired up.

From what I see, the zone from about St Cloud eastward and angling slight south to Eau Claire is projected to get the highest total, which could reach 6+ inches.

A few days ago some areas were in line for up to a foot. That looks very unlikely now.

Think I’m gonna start my snow blower later today just in case…

Arrgh! Can’t make it up. No doubt this will change, but here’s one model forecast for total snow accumulation over the next 2 weeks. smash

The MN State High School League moved days and times for some section tournaments based on forecasts…which impacts venues, schools, drivers, parents, etc. Our area is now slated for a whopping 2-4″ total from the entire system accompanied by minimal wind.

If people just took a deep breath and realized that TV/Social Media guesses are nothing more than guesses with hopes of generating views…tons of chaos could be prevented.
